How Fast Are Shetland Ponies?
Shetland ponies are faster than you may think! In Europe, they hold the Grand National race where children jockeys race the ponies. In Queensland, Shetlands are used in Junior Harness racing to give children aged 6-16 a good start to the sport. The ponies love being in the fresh air and running around, showing just how quick they are!

Can Shetland Ponies Swim?
Yes, they can, and they are very good at it! They absolutely love being in the water and are natural-born swimmers. You do not need to teach a Shetland Pony how to swim, but they might teach you!

As adorable as they are, they have cheeky personalities which makes them even more lovable by all who meet them!

They love to go on long walks with their best friends, the Alpacas! We often take them around the farm, and we love it when you come to see them! Be sure to follow us on our social media to stay up to date with our walks and other fun activities.

When you come to visit our Shetland ponies, make sure you give them lots of attention and cuddles! If you’re lucky, you’ll come when we are taking them on our farm walk, and you’ll be able to see them strutting their stuff!
