FARMER Programme

Helping Your Students

Our FARMER programme is an EOTIS package suited to young people who have difficulty with mainstream education.  They may be struggling with poor school attendance, under-achievement, low confidence or self-esteem, special educational needs, or exhibit challenging behaviour.

The programme has been specifically designed for children and young people who need this educational intervention outside of school routine. The positive effects of animals on people has been well documented and this programme gives children who are struggling a chance to connect with nature and the community around them.

Educational Intervention

The FARMER Programme is intended to help young people develop new skills and raise aspirations, helping them to improve their confidence and give them practical skills in a unique environment.

Programmes are tailored to the ability of the students where they can learn about animal care, grow fruits and vegetables, and have the opportunity to show off their abilities to members of the public who visit the farm.

This is a great way for them to use the knowledge that they learn while at Nunny’s Farm, and give them a positive outlet for their energy.
