Did you know pigs don’t sweat?
While sweat like a pig is a common phrase, it is not actually true. Due to pigs not having sweat glands, they are unable to perspire and instead love to cool themselves down in a big mud puddle!
Pigs have great personalities!
Similar to humans, pigs have their own unique and fun personalities. Some pigs are curious and often naughty and some others are happy to lay down all day in the sun.
Pigs and piglets love to play!
Like babies, playing and being social are very important developmental stages in a pig’s early life. Even when they are fully grown, pigs still love to have a role around, play with toys and even chase other pigs around the farm!
Pigs are smarter than dogs!
Everyone knows how smart dogs are but did you know pigs are even smarter? Pigs are so intelligent they are even capable of playing video games with more focus and success than chimps. Can you picture a pig playing video games?
On your visit to Nunny’s Farm, you will see our beloved pigs – Penelope, Petunia, Sid and Stan. Though rough to touch, our pigs are giant softies and they love a good cuddle and a walk around the farm on their leads.
The pigs at Nunny’s Farm are a favourite of our visitors. On your visit make sure to say hello and give them a good scratch, they love it!
