Let’s talk about chickens! We have a lovely flock of clucky chickens on our farm, and they love to roam around in the fresh air. When possible we also rescue battery hens in order to give them a better life.

A chicken never forgets a face, that’s because they can remember over 100 different faces, even different animals faces! They love their flock, and even if they are separated for a long time, they will always remember their fellow flock members.
They Dream In Their Sleep!
It is said that Chickens can dream just the same as us! When they close their eyes, they have what’s called “REM” which stands for Rapid Eye Movement. REM signifies dreaming, and only certain animals can do this! Chickens can also sleep with one eye open, which looks a bit weird, but it’s totally normal!

Chickens are playful and intellectual creatures. As they are such intelligent creatures, they love to play and fly around with each other. They play by flying, running and jumping around. Chickens especially love big open spaces with lots of fresh air so they can run long distances with each other!
How Well Can A Chicken See?
Despite popular belief, Chickens can see really well! Some people think that Chickens have poor vision, and some people even think that they are colour blind. Chickens actually have better colour vision than humans, and can see in 5 different light levels!
