HRH The Princess Royal visits Nunny’s Farm
Working with the community, providing access to the animals and gardens has been the aim of the farm since it opened. Our team of staff, volunteers and supporters work tirelessly to provide activities, events and programmes to our visitors in order to share the benefits of being outdoors in nature with our animals. Learning that we had been chosen from a large number of nominations for a royal visit was such a huge shock and a wonderful surprise.
On the 28th February 2025 HRH The Princess Royal visited the farm and had a tour of the animals, met with the team and unveiled a plaque to commemorate her visit.
About the visit
The Lord Lieutenant of Lincolnshire and his team met the farm staff at The Lincolnshire Show in 2023 where he presented us with the awards for the best trade stand in the Show.
We were unaware of their recommendation for a royal visit, and we are truly grateful to them for their continued support and recognition of all the hard work we do.
About our community work and engagement
Nunny’s Farm is open all year round to provide access to animals in a safe, welcoming space for all visitors. We also work with children and young people on the edge of criminality who need a different type of support. We provide step out programmes for children in education, and lots of group sessions for all ages.
The farm team are dedicated individuals who live and breathe the animals and our ethos, providing fun experiences for all visitors to engage with the animals and gardens.
