Rabbits

We have a variety of Rabbits hopping around the farm. They love to jump high and nibble on the grass! Rabbits love to be fed and receive attention, but please be respectful of their alone time, as they like to chill out and spend time on their own.

Here are some facts about rabbits

Do Rabbits Teeth Ever Stop Growing?
Rabbits teeth do not stop growing! They will continue to grow even into adult age. Instead, they get worn down as the rabbit eats grasses, wildflowers and vegetables — this means they never get too long.

How High Can Rabbits Jump?
A rabbit can jump as high as four feet, which is 121cm. They can jump even higher if they are determined!

How Many Babies Can Rabbits Have?
Rabbits like to have a lot of babies, and they can have up to 15 babies in one litter! The average litter size is 7, but some Rabbits love their babies so much, that they have loads! The babies themselves grow super fast and continue to live together as brothers and sisters.

Do Rabbits Need To Be Brushed?
Yes, they do, and they need to be brushed regularly! When a rabbit grooms itself, it creates hairballs from all of the shedding. It’s very important to brush rabbits so they don’t eat their hairballs, they don’t taste very nice!

How Can You Tell When A Rabbit Is Happy?
When a rabbit is happy, they do something called a Bunny Binky, which means they run around uncontrollably. This is their way of showing they are having a good time! It’s incredibly adorable to see, and will keep you smiling all day long!

With our smaller animals, you can join in with our Farm Encounters. You can get up close and personal with our lovely bunnies, and give them lots of cuddles and kisses.
